USA's foreign trade with Morocco, exports to Morocco and imports from Morocco in February 2025


The text of the following analysis is produced by a computer program.

In February Morocco was USA's 58. most important foreign trade partner. Amounting trade to worth of $592 million was 13.7 per cent bigger than in February of the previous year. During the month, the balance of trade with Morocco was $257 million of surplus.

The value of imports from Morocco was 10.5 per cent higher than in February of the previous year, thus amounting to $168 million. Major product categories of imports from Morocco were Sitc057 (fruit and nuts (not including oil nuts), fresh or dried), representing 26.0 percent of imports, Sitc784 (parts and accessories of the motor vehicles of groups 722, 781, 782 and 783) 9.1 % and Sitc562 (fertilizers (other than those of group 272)) 7.8 % of the imports.

The value of exports to Morocco were 15.0 percent higher than in February of the previous year, thus amounting to $424 million. The largest product groups of exports were: Sitc792 (aircraft and associated equipment; spacecraft (including satellites) and spacecraft launch vehicles; parts thereof), which represented a share of 18.8 per cent of total exports, Sitc511 (hydrocarbons, n.e.s., and their halogenated, sulphonated, nitrated or nitrosated derivatives) 12.6 % and Sitc342 (liquefied propane and butane) 11.7 % of the exports.

Development during January-February 2025

During January-February, trade in goods with Morocco has grown faster than USA's trade in goods with the rest of the world. During January-February, the value of trade in goods between the two countries rose to $1.2 billion. Growth compared to the corresponding period of the previous year was 13.8 percent. During January-February the value of imports was $302 million. The export value was $914 million. Compared to the corresponding period of the previous year, the value of imports increased by 0.8 % and the value of exports by 18.9 %. The largest product group in terms of imports has been Sitc057 (fruit and nuts (not including oil nuts), fresh or dried), worth $65 million. In export the largest value had Sitc321 (coal, whether or not pulverized, but not agglomerated), worth being $122 million. The trade balance between USA and Moroccon between January and February was in surplus for USA. The timing surplus was $612 million.
