USA's foreign trade with Czech Republic, exports to Czech Republic and imports from Czech Republic in February 2025


The text of the following analysis is produced by a computer program.

In February Czech Republic was USA's 45. most important foreign trade partner. Improvement from the previous month was 2 places. Amounting trade to worth of $961 million was 8.1 per cent bigger than in February of the previous year. In February the trade balance with Czech Republic was $264 million in deficit for United States of America.

The value of imports from Czech Republic was 6.5 per cent higher than in February of the previous year, thus amounting to $613 million. Major product categories of imports from Czech Republic were Sitc772 (electrical apparatus for switching or protecting electrical circuits or for making connections to or in electrical circuits (e.g., switches, relays, fuses, lightning arresters, voltage limiters, surge suppressors, plugs and sockets, lamp-holders and), representing 6.7 percent of imports, Sitc764 (telecommunications equipment, n.e.s., and parts, n.e.s., and accessories of apparatus falling within division 76) 6.3 % and Sitc723 (civil engineering and contractors' plant and equipment; parts thereof) 4.8 % of the imports.

The value of exports to Czech Republic were 11.2 percent higher than in February of the previous year, thus amounting to $349 million. The largest product groups of exports were: Sitc792 (aircraft and associated equipment; spacecraft (including satellites) and spacecraft launch vehicles; parts thereof), which represented a share of 17.4 per cent of total exports, Sitc752 (automatic data-processing machines and units thereof; magnetic or optical readers, machines for transcribing data onto data media in coded form and machines for processing such data, n.e.s.) 8.2 % and Sitc759 (parts and accessories (other than covers, carrying cases and the like) suitable for use solely or principally with machines falling withing groups 751 and 752) 7.4 % of the exports.

Development during January-February 2025

During January-February trade in goods with Czech Republic has grown slower than USA's trade in goods with the rest of the world. During January-February, the value of trade in goods between the two countries rose to $2.0 billion. Growth compared to the corresponding period of the previous year was 1.2 percent. During January-February the value of imports was $1.2 billion. The export value was $744 million. Compared to the corresponding period in 2024, the value of imports during this period increased by 3.5 %. The largest product group in terms of imports has been Sitc764 (telecommunications equipment, n.e.s., and parts, n.e.s., and accessories of apparatus falling within division 76), worth $110 million. In export the largest value had Sitc792 (aircraft and associated equipment; spacecraft (including satellites) and spacecraft launch vehicles; parts thereof), worth being $126 million. The value of exports during this period decreased by 2.3 %. From USA's point of view, the trade balance between the countries in January-February remained in deficit. The trade deficit was $482 million. The trade deficit continued to widen compared to the corresponding period in 2024. At that time, the deficit was $423 million.
